Andrea Euenheim, Member of the Management Board (Chief Human Resources Officer, CHRO) and Labour Director of METRO AG since 1 November 2019, will resign from the Management Board at her own request on 31 March 2022 to take up an assignment outside the company.
In the course of the reorganization of the wholesaler's management structure, which was announced on 11 November 2021 and was associated with a personnel realignment of the Management Board, Andrea Euenheim had announced that she would not renew her contract, which expires at the end of October 2022.
Until a new CHRO is appointed, Dr Steffen Greubel, Chairman of the Management Board, will assume the responsibilities of CHRO and Labour Director.
The Supervisory Board has begun the search for a successor.
"With her experience, Andrea Euenheim has accompanied the transformation of the company into a pure wholesaler with important initiatives and has shaped the culture of togetherness especially during the pandemic. We thank her very much for this and wish her every success in her career", says Dr Steffen Greubel, CEO of METRO AG.
Andrea Euenheim explains: "I am grateful for the intensive and special time at METRO. We have been able to lay a valuable foundation in HR for the further development of the company over the past years, be it through adapted corporate values, through new systems of employee assessment and development as well as through clear goals in the sustainability strategy. I wish METRO and all employees every success in implementing the sCore growth strategy!"
