On the occasion of the leading international trade fair for the out-of-home market INTERNORGA in Hamburg from March 10-14, METRO Germany will present DISH POS to a broad German professional audience for the first time. The intelligent all-in-one cloud-based POS system makes it easier for HoReCa operators to manage, administer and optimise their business and operational processes, is easy to use and thus saves time and money. After the first country launch in France in January, INTERNORGA is the starting signal for the roll-out in the home market Germany. METRO is thereby taking another strategic step towards becoming a multichannel solution provider. Digital solutions are a key element of the sCore growth strategy, which aims to increase the digital share of sales to 40% by 2030.

Germany is of particular strategic importance as our home market and one of METRO's top-selling countries, and this is where we first offered DISH solutions in 2018. Meanwhile, internationally, we are building a digital ecosystem for the hospitality industry instead of just offering individual digital services," said Dr Volker Glaeser, CEO of Hospitality Digital. With around 130,000 restaurants, pubs and snack bars, Germany has a very broad hospitality landscape and corresponding market potential. DISH solutions are already available in 16 countries, DISH POS is to be successively introduced in all of them. Starting this summer, the POS solution will be available throughout Germany and can be seamlessly integrated with existing DISH tools like DISH Professional Order or DISH Professional Reservation and used with devices such as smartphones or tablets. In the guest room, DISH POS connects guest, service, kitchen, and counter and ensures smooth processes all the way to payment. Moreover, restaurateurs can access their data at any time, analyse it and plan better based on it. In the future, it will also be possible to automatically check inventory levels, order supplies as needed and replenish them via the METRO delivery service.
