Creativity that inspires: METRO publications are exhibited in the Red Dot Design Museum
27 March 2019Packaging, posters, annual reports or advertising spots: The world of communication design is as multi-faceted as it is interesting. The exhibition "Creative Exchange: World's Best Communication Design and Highlights from NRW" offers all visitors exciting impressions of the award-winning works. In the Red Dot Design Museum, visitors can explore numerous exhibits that rank among the best creative works of recent years. These include all the projects that received the "Red Dot: Best of the Best" and "Red Dot: Grand Prix" awards. The organisers place particular emphasis on communication design "made in NRW". And these also include 3 METRO Condensed Reports as well as the METRO Annual Report 2014/15.
In 2018, the jury of the Design Award honoured the METRO Condensed Report 2016/17 "MORE" in the category "Annual Report/Print" with the coveted seal of quality for good design. The experts were impressed by the concept of the Condensed Report, which features a question-and-answer system. The numerous interviews, statements, reports and infographics offer readers a variety of insights into the world of METRO AG. A clear typography rounds off the overall design impression of the Condensed Report. At the special exhibition, visitors can personally convince themselves of the creative performance of the work. In addition, all those interested can also view the 3 previously award-winning METRO publications: "Clarity" (2017), "Openminded" (2016) and "The world of METRO GROUP" (2015). The Condensed Reports as well as the Annual Report from the year 2015 captivate with different design concepts and at the same time all reflect the corporate spirit of METRO: progressive, modern and focused.
Katharina Meisel, Head of Corporate Media & Branding METRO AG, is delighted about the inclusion of METRO publications in the special exhibition. "We are honored that our short reports and the annual report are among the best works in the field of communication design. Being able to admire one's own Annual and Condensed Reports in a museum is a great confirmation and reward for all those involved in the projects."
