Bulgaria, France, Italy, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, and Turkey were honoured. METRO AG together with METRO PROPERTIES, METRO CAMPUS SERVICES, METRO ADVERTISING and METRO Insurance Broker were honoured as Top Employers in Germany. Thanks to the successful participation of the European METRO companies, METRO also received the Top Employer Europe award again this time.

The Top Employer certification process examines over 600 HR practices and methodologies covering virtually all key areas and topics in HR. These include, for example, development opportunities, leadership culture, digital HR, talent acquisition or employer branding. This year's survey clearly shows that METRO companies are leading the way in European benchmarking with other employers, particularly in the areas of sustainability, digital HR, learning and employer branding.
To participate in the survey, organisations must have at least 250 employees or belong to an international group with 2,500 employees and have formalised and future-oriented HR processes. Conducted annually by the Top Employer Institute, the international survey recognises leading employers around the world: those that continually strive to provide excellent working conditions for their employees, nurture and develop talent at all levels of the organisation, and are committed to continuously improving HR processes.
