Christiane Giesen, a graduate in business administration, is 46 years old and has had an impressive career with BP, one of the world’s largest energy companies, since 1998. During her career, she has held various commercial functions with a strong customer focus and today heads the European wholesale business with employees in seven countries and a sales volume of around USD 10 billion. As a strong leader, she maintains a close working relationship with works councils and trade unions.
Christiane Giesen expresses her gratitude for the trust placed in her and says: ‘METRO is a great brand and an international company with strong growth potential.
